When baby Jesus was about six weeks old, Mary and Joseph carried Him to God's temple in Jerusalem.
An old man named Simeon was there. God had promised he would see the Savior before he died. Simeon took Jesus in his arms and praised God. “Now I have seen your salvation!”
Then a very old woman named Anna came over. She prayed in the temple day and night. She thanked God and told everyone who was waiting for God's rescue all about this baby.
