No Room

Advent Day 16 of 24 · Luke 2:6–7 · Read it on December 16.

Bethlehem was crowded! So many people had come to be counted that every guest room was full.

While Mary and Joseph were there, it was time for the baby to be born. Mary had a little baby boy. It was Jesus!

Mary wrapped Him snugly in strips of cloth. There was no room for them in the guest room, so she laid Him in a manger, the box that holds the animals' food. The King of everything had a feed box for a bed!

Key Verse

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.Luke 2:7, ESV
