Gabriel Visits Mary

Advent Day 10 of 24 · Luke 1:26–38 · Read it on December 10.

Six months later, God sent the angel Gabriel to the little town of Nazareth. He came to a young woman named Mary, who was going to marry a man named Joseph.

Gabriel said, “Hello, Mary! God is with you! You will have a baby boy, and you will name Him Jesus. He will be the Son of God, and He will be King forever!”

Mary asked, “How can this happen?” Gabriel said God's Holy Spirit would do it, because nothing is impossible with God. Mary said, “I am the Lord's servant. Let it happen just as you said.”
