Mary was going to marry a man named Joseph. Then Joseph found out Mary was going to have a baby. He knew it wasn't his baby, and he felt sad and confused.
Joseph was a kind man. He decided to quietly call off the wedding, so no one would be mean to Mary.
But one night an angel came to him in a dream. “Don't be afraid to marry Mary. This baby is from God! Name Him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” Joseph woke up and obeyed.
