Privacy Policy

Lantern Trail is a kids' Bible-in-a-year app and website run by Lantern Path LLC, Manheim, Pennsylvania ("we", "us"). We collect as little as we can, we never sell your family's information, and we never show ads.
Who creates accounts
Only a parent or guardian 18 or older can create a Lantern Trail account. Kids use the app inside a parent's account. Children cannot sign up on their own, buy anything, or contact other users.
What we collect

We do not collect kids' last names, photos, voices, locations, school, or contact details. Please don't put that kind of information in a reader's name or journal answers.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Lantern Trail is made for children, so we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
- A parent gives consent when creating the account and adding readers.
- We use children's information only to run Lantern Trail for that family. No ads, no tracking across other sites or apps, no profiles for marketing.
- Parents can review, change or delete any reader's information at any time in the app, or by emailing us.
- Deleting a reader removes their progress and journal answers.
Who we share information with
We never sell or rent personal information. We share only what each service needs to run Lantern Trail for you:

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your family's information within 30 days, except billing records the law requires us to keep.
Keeping it safe
Information is encrypted when it travels and when it's stored. Each family can see only its own data. No system is perfect, and we'll tell you promptly if a breach ever affects your family.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct, download or delete your information: in the app under Account, or email us.
- Stop marketing emails: tap Unsubscribe in any email.
- Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have these same rights. We honor them for everyone.
Changes
If we make a big change, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
