The Tomb

A Bible story for kids from Matthew 27:57–66. Day 251 of 365.

Jesus' body was laid in a tomb cut out of rock, and a huge stone was rolled in front of the door.

The leaders remembered Jesus said He would rise again. So they sealed the stone and sent soldiers to guard it.

Jesus' friends were very sad. It was a quiet, sad Saturday. But God wasn't finished yet!

Key Verse

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.John 12:24, ESV
