God gave King Saul a job to do, with clear instructions.
But Saul only obeyed part of the way. He kept the best animals for himself and said, “I'll give them to God as a gift later.”
Samuel said, “God wants you to obey Him more than He wants gifts.” Because Saul didn't obey, God chose a new king.
Key Verse
