King Saul and 3,000 soldiers chased David. David and his men hid in a dark cave.
Then King Saul came into the same cave to rest, all alone! David's men whispered, “Now's your chance to get him!”
David quietly cut a piece off Saul's robe instead. He said, “I won't hurt God's chosen king.” Later David showed Saul the piece of robe, and Saul cried.
