In the town of Joppa lived a kind woman named Dorcas. She was always helping people, especially poor widows. She sewed clothes for them!
Dorcas got sick and died. Everyone was so sad. They sent for Peter.
The widows showed Peter all the coats Dorcas had made them. Peter knelt and prayed, then said, “Dorcas, get up!” She opened her eyes and sat up! Many people believed in Jesus.
