The Kingdom Splits

A Bible story for kids from 1 Kings 12. Day 108 of 365.

After Solomon died, his son Rehoboam became king. The people asked, “Please don't make us work so hard.”

The old, wise men said, “Be kind to them.” But Rehoboam's young friends said, “Be even tougher!”

Rehoboam listened to the wrong advice. Ten tribes left and made their own country. God's people split into two kingdoms!

Key Verse

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.Proverbs 13:20, ESV
